you need a team.

Dr. Lori Brown, DC
I believe that great healthcare starts with strong, lasting relationships.
Pain is more than just a symptom—it’s a deeply human experience influenced by physical, emotional, and hormonal factors. My approach goes beyond temporary relief, focusing on comprehensive, patient-centered care to help you achieve long-term wellness.
I specialize in diagnosing and conservatively managing acute injuries from car accidents, back and neck pain, sciatica, sports injuries, headaches, and chronic pain patterns. I utilize a gentle, evidence-informed approach and emphasize trauma-informed, consent-based care to ensure patients feel safe, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. I have a particular interest in working with individuals who may feel hesitant or apprehensive about chiropractic medicine, and I take care to provide a supportive, transparent experience that prioritizes patient comfort and trust.
I believe strongly in an integrated approach to healthcare and regularly collaborate with a wide range of medical providers, including medical doctors, naturopathic doctors, nurse practitioners, acupuncturists, and physical therapists. This team-based model allows me to support each patient with comprehensive, well-coordinated care.
I am honored to have been recognized in Portland Monthly Magazine’s Top Doctors and Nurses list each year from 2018 through 2026.
Outside of clinical practice, I value maintaining an active lifestyle and spending time outdoors. I enjoy trail running, fishing, mushroom gathering, and gardening, as well as exploring Portland's food and beverage scene. Spending time with my family consisting of my spouse, two cats named Curtis and Debra, and a dog named Leonard gives me the greatest joy.

Dr. Ryan Gloeckner, DC
I have been involved in personal training and fitness since 2009, which continues to inform my clinical approach to patient care.
I am a 2015 graduate of the University of Western States, where I have also served in a clinical teaching role. Prior to my chiropractic training, I earned a degree in Exercise Science from the University of Mississippi.
My practice focuses on the evaluation and management of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, nerve-related conditions such as sciatica and carpal tunnel syndrome, motor vehicle accident injuries, and athletic injuries. I utilize a gentle, evidence-informed approach and emphasize trauma-informed consent to ensure patients feel safe, respected, and actively involved in their care. I have a particular interest in working with patients who are new to chiropractic treatment, providing clear education and guidance throughout the course of care.
My clinical goal is to restore function, reduce pain, and support patients in returning to their desired level of activity. I incorporate principles of movement and rehabilitation into treatment to promote long-term outcomes.
I have been involved in the CrossFit community since 2009 and hold a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer certification. As a former soccer athlete, I continue to stay active and value maintaining a high level of physical function. I believe that prioritizing movement and physical health is essential not only for my patients, but also in my own life.

Dr. Lindsay Johnson, ND
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to helping you find balance.
I believe that true healing comes from addressing the root causes of illness while also providing effective symptom management. Whether it’s through optimizing sleep, improving nutrition, enhancing physical movement, or supporting emotional resilience, I see every aspect of health as interconnected.
I tailor individualized treatment plans that may include homeopathy, botanical medicine, physical and mind-body therapies, nutraceuticals, and pharmaceuticals when appropriate. Healing is a journey, and I am honored to walk alongside you, guiding and supporting you at each step.
I approach each patient relationship with genuine curiosity and deep respect for your unique story. Together, we build a partnership rooted in trust, honest communication, and a shared vision for your health. I work with a steady, consistent presence, supporting you through the natural ups and downs of the healing process while keeping a clear focus on long-term goals and possibilities.
Outside of my work, I find balance through reading, gardening, cooking, spending time in nature, and enjoying life with my husband, child, friends, and our pup. These connections and moments of joy are a big part of what inspires the way I practice medicine—grounded, connected, and always growing.
I believe that healing is most powerful when we work together. I value being part of a team—whether that means collaborating with other healthcare providers or working closely with you to empower your role in your own healing journey. My goal is to equip you with knowledge, tools, and ongoing support, helping you build a strong foundation for resilience and well-being now and into the future.

Colleen Engel, LMT, CA
I believe that movement, flexibility, balance, and strength are essential for preventing injury and supporting the body during recovery.
I am a graduate of East West College of the Healing Arts and have been practicing bodywork since 2000. My specialties include myofascial release, deep tissue techniques, gua sha, instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation, and relaxation massage.
I have extensive experience treating headaches, TMJ dysfunction, and whiplash. After working through several chronic injuries of my own, yoga became an important part of my life.
I was born and raised in Oregon. During my formative years, my family moved to a small Christmas tree farm in Oregon City, which we transformed into a working family farm. That experience instilled in me the value of hard work and an appreciation for farm-fresh, local, organic food. Many of my childhood memories include camping, hiking, and fishing throughout Oregon.
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my partner and friends, riding my road and gravel bikes, jogging, hiking, backcountry skiing, gardening, and cooking.

Mikyla Klajic, LMT
I believe that in today’s world of telehealth and digital connection, the role of touch in healthcare is more important than ever.
I moved to Portland in 2015 from California to pursue my undergraduate degree. With a background in ceramics manufacturing and experience working in healthcare clinics, I discovered a passion for bodywork and hands-on care. I am a proud graduate of East West College of the Healing Arts.
My style has been described as intuitive and supportive. I incorporate techniques such as deep tissue massage, myofascial release, and Swedish relaxation into my sessions. I am currently studying Craniosacral Therapy and Tui Na, and I enjoy integrating these modalities into my treatments to create a well-rounded, individualized experience.
My goal is to help clients feel more connected to and in control of their bodies, while supporting them throughout their healing process.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy working with my hands through bookbinding and ceramics, watching films at local theaters, taking day trips to the gorge or the coast, and cooking beautiful meals.

Alyssa Baldwin, LMT
My approach is slow, intentional, and tailored to each session.
As a graduate of East West College of the Healing Arts, I am passionate about helping clients relieve pain, restore balance, and reconnect with their bodies.
I specialize in Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Neuromuscular Facilitation, Swedish Relaxation, and assisted stretching. I work layer by layer to release tension, improve mobility, and create changes that feel both grounding and lasting. I recently graduated from Loi Kroh Massage in Thailand with an Advanced Thai Massage Certification, and I incorporate Thai techniques into my Deep Tissue and Sports Massage sessions.
My sessions are trauma-informed, holistic, and centered around balance. My 10+ years of personal practice in yoga, strength and mobility training, outdoor movement, and kinesiology deeply inform my work. Together, these experiences shape sessions that focus on restoring harmony in the body while meeting each client where they are, supporting their goals in a way that feels manageable and sustainable.
Being an Oregon native, my free time is (to no surprise) tailored around getting into nature. I enjoy hiking, live music, painting, rock-climbing, playing guitar, a good pastry, and laughter with loved ones.

Janelle Minson, Billing Specialist
I understand that health insurance can be complicated and often frustrating to navigate, and I’m here to help make that process easier for you.
I began working in the chiropractic field over 20 years ago and quickly noticed that every patient who walked through the door left with a smile and a clear plan to address their concerns. It didn’t take long for me to realize this field was the perfect fit for me.
In 1996, I took time away from work to care for my two boys full time, while continuing to benefit from chiropractic care myself. When I returned to the workforce, I chose to focus on insurance and collections, where I found my niche.
I continue to study the ever-changing insurance landscape and strive to educate patients so they can get the most out of their healthcare benefits and feel confident in understanding their coverage.
I work with several chiropractic and acupuncture clinics throughout Portland and look forward to many more years with the team at Sunstone as the practice continues to grow. If you have any questions about your insurance benefits or your bill, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly at Janelle@sunstonechiro.com.
